I am proud to be a part of the Kamloops Centre for Therapy (KCT). When I joined KCT I brought with me my experience of having worked with Children and Families in Ontario and with Adult Mental Health Services in Kamloops for over twenty years.
In addition to having various specialized trainings, my education includes a Masters in Social Work and a Bachelor’s in Education from University of Toronto. I have also completed my certification in Clinical Social Work and am Registered with the BC. College of Social Workers. I speak four Indian languages and consider cultural sensitivity and competence to be essential parts of my training and service.
I believe that confidentiality, trust and respect are inherent pieces of a successful working relationship. With my knowledge of counselling interventions and treatment models, I am able to assist children, youth, couples, and families to handle stressors, challenges, mental health issues, and complex traumas which we have to face in our lives.
I am able to assist clients experiencing depression, anxiety, addictions, family conflict, anger management, adjustment, and other issues with compassion, empowerment, inclusiveness, integrity and respect.
